ERGOFLON DISC” type bearings are structural bearings with an elastomeric disc confined by a spherical hinge. They allow rotations of up to +/- 0.02 rad around any horizontal axis through the deformation of the elastomeric disc confined within a steel base.

The bearings are devices that provide a hinge constraint (fixed type) or a unidirectional (unidirectional type) or bidirectional (multidirectional type) carriage.

The connection to the structure can be achieved, depending on the nature and extent of the loads, with mechanical anchors or resin bonding.

ERGOFLON SPHERE bearings are spherical-capped structural bearings that allow rotations of up to +/- 0.055 rad around any horizontal axis by coupling two curved surfaces with an intervening sheet of low-friction material and stainless steel.

The bearings are devices that provide a hinge constraint (fixed type) or a unidirectional (unidirectional type) or bidirectional (multidirectional type) carriage.

The connection to the structure can be achieved, depending on the nature and extent of the loads, with mechanical anchors or resin bonding.

ESAFLON-type bearings are elastomeric structural bearings, whether reinforced or not, that allow rotation around any axis and movement in all horizontal directions through elastic deformation.

Depending on the type of ESAFLON bearing and the nature and magnitude of the loads, the connection to the structure can be achieved with mechanical anchors or resin bonding.

These bearings can be equipped with elements, for specific functions, or combined with multiple devices for specific needs.

For example:

  • Anti-lift bearings are equipped with elements that allow the device to respond even to vertical tensile loads
  • Elastomer-responding bearings, thanks to the interposition of elastomer elements between the components that transfer the horizontal load, reduce the rigidity of the device and allow for small elastic displacements
  • Bearings with integrated hydraulic couplers (STU) are mobile devices that lock in the event of dynamic stresses and transfer the horizontal load parallel to the STU axis
